Mariner High School Cheer Team Receives Several Awards!

Over the summer the Mariner High School Cheer team went to UCA Cheer Camp and came home with some great awards! Their coach, Katrina Alvarez said the team represented the Mukilteo School District very well and that she is proud of their hard work and commitment.

Leadership award called in it forward: Sali Sawanen and Jazzmyn Caparas

Jump competition semi-finalist: Lindsey Galeana-Velazquez

Jump competition finalist: Jazzmyn Caparas

All Americans: Ja’Qyrie Wheeler, Lindsey Galeana-Velazquez, and Gema Neri-Araiza

Chant and cheer evaluation: Blue Ribbon

Camp routine evaluation: Gold Ribbon

Spirit Banana (overall spirit award): Day 2

Daily Spirit Stick Award: Day 1-4
