Friends of the Garden

Many thanks to the scouts who have and continue to build up the garden’s infrastructure. Without their work and leadership the garden simply wouldn’t be.

Elizabeth Crocco (Spring 2019) designed, wrote a grant, and assembled our two germination stations inside the B and C buildings for her Gold Star Award project.

Cooper Miller (Summer 2021) designed and built our original eight garden beds for his Eagle Scout project.

Girl Scout Troop 40120 (Spring 2021) built our first compost bins using reclaimed pallets, which lasted about two years.

Brandon Harkleroad (Fall 2023) built two additional rasied beds for the purpose of growing edible native plants for his Eagle Scout project.

Nathan Harkleroad (Spring 2024) designed and built a fully-contained, three bay compost system for his Eagle Scout project.

Jake Miller (Fall 2024) installed a new bench in the Outdoor Classroom and completed a major clean-up and restoration of the garden.

Thank you to our local, regional, and state partners!
