School Pictures ~ Next Thursday!

School pictures for all grades will be taken on Thursday, September 24th, at Mukilteo Elementary. 

 To order pictures:
  • Click on the following link to order:  https://v2.myproimages.com/kids-photography-2111/code/MEEFall26
  • New this year, online orders will have the option to choose their student’s photo background.
  • Parents can order for more than one student on the same order.
  • You will receive an email confirmation of your order.
  • Photos will be delivered to school and sent home with each student.
  • Picture orders must be submitted by October 1st.

Last Call - Orders Due Sept 20th

One of the traditions that our ME 5th graders look forward to is getting their 5th grade sweatshirt! The time has come to order yours.

These black hoodie sweatshirts are so comfortable and warm that many of our 5th graders wear them almost every day, whether it's sunny, bitterly cold, or pouring rain.

We have an online store set up just for our ME 5th graders. The super cool sweatshirts cost $30 - $32 and come in youth and adult sizes. Each shirt is personalized with the student's LAST name. Please, no nicknames or first names.

All the sweatshirts will arrive at ME and will be distributed on the same day. We aim for each of our 5th graders to have their own sweatshirt. For some of our families, the cost of a shirt is a hardship, so if your family is willing and able, please consider donating towards a sweatshirt for a fellow student. The first option on the website is to donate. Scroll down to find the order form for your student's sweatshirt.

Bike/Scooter Safety Rules & Regulations

As the weather gets warmer, we are noticing more students riding their bicycles and scooters to school. Mukilteo Elementary is dedicated to keeping all students safe. Students riding bicycles or scooters are required to follow the rules and regulations listed below.
  • Helmets should always be worn
  • Follow the directions of the crossing guards and school staff
  • Dismount and walk your bicycle/scooter while on school campus
  • Put your bicycle/scooter in the bike rack and lock it
  • Students in Kindergarten – 2nd Grade must ride their bikes to school with an adult.
This is a friendly reminder that our campus is closed from school dismissal until 4:00 PM as it is being used by after school programs including the YMCA and Boys and Girls Club. Students should go directly home after school each day; the campus, including all play areas, then opens to the public at 4:00 PM.   
 

Parent Pick-Up and Parking

The Parent Pick-Up line is long, and we ask that you pull forward when picking up kids. We will also begin passing out Parent Pick-Up Car Cards to help speed up the process. Place it on your passenger side dashboard or hang from your car mirror for staff to see. This will help us know which student(s) you will be picking up so we can call them when you arrive. This should help speed up the pick-up process and make dismissal more efficient. 

As a reminder, the traffic flow moves in one direction. Traffic enters from the Mukilteo Speedway near Olympic View Middle School and exits on Washington Avenue. The exit on Washington Avenue is exit only. Parking is limited and cars must park in a designated parking space due to fire lanes. Cars not parked in a space can be ticketed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Attendance:
For attendance and absence related questions or comments, please email the following information: child's name, dates absent, reason for absence to MEAttendance@mukilteo.wednet.edu. You can also call the front office at 425.366.3100 to report your absence.
 

Art Docent and Nature Guide Sign-Ups

Sign up to volunteer for your student's classroom as an Art Docent or Nature Guide this year! These two programs are supported by the ME PTSA and run by volunteers who help bring art and nature education to our students.

Art Docents bring fine arts into the classroom approximately once a month. You do not need to be an artist or a teacher to volunteer.  


Nature Guides lead activities that enable students to learn about nature in the ME Outdoor Classroom and Garden.

 

Don’t Wait ~ Get Your Tickets Today!

Join us for the ME PTSA Auction on November 13 at 5:30 pm at Rosehill Community Center for a fun-filled tailgate-style night that directly supports our students! 

The evening will include a raffle, silent auction, live auction, and plenty of tailgate-inspired fun. Tickets are now available, and include event admission, an assigned seat, dinner, and a drink. 

Corporate sponsorship is available through October 1st, email fundraising@meptsa.org to learn more about sponsoring this event. Every sponsorship, ticket, bid, and donation helps support our ME students directly.

September Reading Challenge

To complete this reading challenge, choose four different books to read this month that match with the categories listed. Write the name of the book you read on the line. Turn it into Mrs. Morse or Mrs. Edwards by October 1st for a chance to win a prize.
