ME Falcon Spirit

March 6, 2026
Text reads 'From the Principal' with an illustration of an apple and an open book.
Welcome to March. It’s hard to believe that we are entering the final days of winter and that spring is just around the corner. There’s been a lot happening around school over the past several weeks as students continue to engage in their learning. Today was our last day of our annual food drive. Multiple grades have reached or surpassed their goals for food donations. Thank you to all the families that donated. Today also marked the end of our Kindness Campaign, and it was fun seeing our students’ creativity shine. Lastly, kindergarten registration is now opened for the 2026/2027 year. If you have a child that will be 5 on or before August 31st, please head to the Mukilteo School District website to register.

At the beginning of February, we spent some building time together looking at mid-year diagnostic data in reading and math. This time spent together as staff is a valued time where we learn from one another and share ideas of success across classrooms and grade levels. The professional development time we have together helps us grow as professionals and the staff and I are appreciative and thankful that families support us in having this time!

I also wanted to share that I am amazed at the regular participation of parents/guardians as Art Docents and Nature Guides here at ME. A huge thank you to all the parents/guardians that have become involved in these programs to provide wonderful art and outdoor learning opportunities for our students! Thanks for all that you do to assist us in educating your children and supporting us in this very important work. Have a great March!

Reminder - Spring Forward

Don’t forget to move your clocks forward 1 hour before going to bed Saturday night.

Safety First: Parking & Pick-Up Reminders

Please park only in designated parking spaces when dropping off or picking up students. For everyone’s safety, always use the crosswalk when walking from the parking lot to the sidewalk. Our bus drivers rely on pedestrians using the crosswalk so they can safely anticipate where people will be crossing. If you are picking up students, please use the designated car pick-up line. Thank you for helping us keep our students and families safe by following these expectations.
