Back to School Night
Back to School Night (previously Curriculum Night) will be on Oct. 17, 2024, from 6:00-7:00pm. It has been restructured to be more of a student-driven drop in event where students lead their guardians on a scavenger hunt! Students are to remain with guardians while they explore campus and connect with staff. Students will show you their classroom and other areas around the school through an interactive scavenger hunt or walking tour, and teachers will be available to answer questions related to curriculum and general classroom routines. In the classrooms you will be able to learn about grade level curriculum and the learning standards that will be covered this year. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to see your child’s desk, classroom learning tools such as journals and math books, where assignments are turned in, and other things related to classroom routines for a successful year. With their families, students will be able to explore specialist classes and other learning spaces they experience during their day/week. Student conferences will then take place in November to go over your child’s progress thus far and goals for the year.

Parent Pick-Up and Parking
As a reminder, the traffic flow moves in one direction. Traffic enters from the Mukilteo Speedway near Olympic View Middle School and exits on Washington Avenue. The exit on Washington Avenue is exit only. Parking is limited and cars must park in a designated parking space due to fire lanes. Cars not parked in a space can be ticketed. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Parent Pick-Up line is long, and we ask that you pull forward when picking up kids. We will also begin passing out Parent Pick-Up Car Cards to help speed up the process. Be looking for a car card in your child’s backpack. Place it on your passenger side dashboard for staff to see. This has the name(s) of the students you pick-up and we can call them when you arrive. This should help speed up the process. Thanks for working with us to make Family Pick-Up more efficient.

Oct. Breakfast/ Lunch Menu
Milk and second meal prices
While all students may have one free breakfast and one free lunch at school, additional meals must be purchased. In addition, milks purchased separate from the school meal (if bringing a lunch from home, or getting a second milk, for instance) must be purchased because of the way schools are reimbursed for meals served. Families must purchase milk sold separately and additional meals.

For elementary students, we charge for the following items:

  • Single milks: $.50
  • Second meal at breakfast: $1.75
  • Second meal at lunch: $3.35

For middle and high school students, we charge for the following items:

  • Single milk: $.50
  • Second meal at breakfast: $2
  • Second meal at lunch: $3.60
  • Ala Carte snack items

If you have students who would like to purchase these items, please load funds into your student's My School Bucks account by following these steps:
  1. Go to myschoolbucks.com
  2. Click “sign up for free” and follow instructions
  3. When the student purchases any of the above items at school, your student's MySchoolBucks account will be charged

A note about cash payments:
Elementary schools do not have cash registers, so if you need to pay with cash, please bring your payment to the Nutrition Services Office at District Support Services (8925 Airport Road, Everett, 98204).

Middle and high schools do have cash registers, so secondary students may bring their cash to school and give it to the nutrition services team during lunch.
